The treasure trove of Iran, Shiraz is a settlement that dates back to the Achaemenid Era. It is known as the “city of poem and literacy” since it is housing well-known Persian Poets’ tombs including Hafez and Sa’adi. Shiraz is featured with its mesmerizing and serene gardens. Truth be told, Shiraz is also famous for the production and export of high-quality wine. But after Iran’s revolution and due to Islamic regulations on alcohol, producing wine is now legally banned in Shiraz. Wandering around the streets and enjoying the smell of rose and orange blossoms is one of the must-dos in Shiraz. This city has a very friendly ad literate atmosphere. As a result, you should not miss visiting Hafez Tomb and Tomb of Sa’adi at nights when people gather there and read poems and songs.

Shāh Chérāgh is a funerary monument and mosque in Shiraz, Iran, housing the tomb of the brothers Ahmad and Muhammad, sons of Mūsā al-Kādhim and brothers of ‘Alī ar-Ridhā. The two took refuge in the city during the Abbasid persecution of Shia Muslims. The tombs became celebrated pilgrimage centres in the 14th century when Queen Tashi Khatun erected a mosque and theological school in the vicinity.

Hafez is one of the most famous Gnostics and poets of Iran, who was born in Shiraz in 726 AH and passed away 65 years later. The tomb of Hafiz also known as Hafizieh is located north of Shiraz and comprises of two gardens. Many people still come to pay homage to this master of poetry. The mausoleum itself is located in a lovely garden, and has an atmosphere of peace and calm that is quite unique.

Bishapur Castle
The castle of Bishapur, situated on a rock, is well-preserved. The architect would not be surprised, because he called it Qalah-e Dokhtar, "the Virgin's Castle". Now this may be a reference to the daughter of the Sasanian king Shapur I (241-272), but it also expresses the wish that the construction remained pure and "intact" like a virgin. This type of name is not uncommon in Iran (cf. the Pol-e dokhtar, which was also built during the reign of Shapur).

This Holy Shrine belongs to “Shah Mir-Ali Ibn Hamza Ibn Mousa Kazim”, which is located in Hafez street and near the Dried Lake of Shiraz. Ali Ibn Hamza holy shrine was built by Amir Azad ol-Dole Deylami during Daylamites era and parts of it were renovated during Teymourian era.

Tang-e Chogan is a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site and Glamorous reliefs exhibit victory scenes of Sassanid kings. The towering Tange Chogan gorge mountains are stunning. The panoramic view of the fertile Tange Chogan gorge is amazing and The emerald water of the Shapur river, running along the bottom of the gorge, is truly refreshing.
