Holy shrine of Imam khomeini:Imam Khomeini's grave is famously cited as "the holy shrine" in Iran. The holy shrine is situated in the southern part of Tehran near the martyrs' graves in the Behesht-e-Zahra cemetery. This construction is considered as a great and unique building.

National Museum of Iran is a state museum under the auspices of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts. The Museum consists of the Iran Bastan Museum (Ancient Iran) and the Museum of Islamic Archaeology and Art of Iran, as well as eight research departments, the conservation department, the library and the archives. The research departments are organized by specific archaeological and historical periods and topics. This Museum houses the largest collections of archaeological objects in the country.

The Azadi Tower , formerly known as the Shahyad Tower, is a monument on Azadi Square in Tehran, Iran. It is one of the landmarks of Tehran, marking the west entrance to the city, and is part of the Azadi Cultural Complex, which also includes an underground museum.

The lavish Golestan Palace is a masterpiece of the Qajar era, embodying the successful integration of earlier Persian crafts and architecture with Western influences. The walled Palace, one of the oldest groups of buildings in Teheran, became the seat of government of the Qajar family, which came into power in 1779 and made Teheran the capital of the country. Built around a garden featuring pools as well as planted areas, the Palace’s most characteristic features and rich ornaments date from the 19th century. It became a centre of Qajari arts and architecture of which it is an outstanding example and has remained a source of inspiration for Iranian artists and architects to this day. It represents a new style incorporating traditional Persian arts and crafts and elements of 18th century architecture and technology.

The Embassy of the United States of America in Tehran (Persian: ????? ?????? ?? ?????) was the American diplomatic mission in the Imperial State of Iran. Direct bilateral diplomatic relations between the two governments were severed following the Iranian Revolution in 1979, and the subsequent seizure of the embassy in November 1979.

Nader Shah Afshar’s Tomb and the garden is about 14 thousand and four hundred sq. meters, each side ending to a street. The design of the pools and waterways all follow the traditional Iranian garden structures, although it was rebuilt in 1963.

The resting place of Omar Khayyam, a Persian polymath, mathematician, astronomer, and poet. The mausoleum features a modern architectural design inspired by geometric patterns.

The tomb is built during the reign of Timurid dynasty. In Qajar era, during the reign of Mohammad Ali Shah Qajar, the governor of Khorasan was going to build another tomb instead, but unfavorable circumstances of the country convinced him to stop. After Qajar dynasty, during Pahlavi era, in the reign of the second king of Pahlavi dynasty, the tomb was restored completely in the format that still remains. In 1990s another restoration mission accomplished.

The building is the burial place of one of the most famous historical character of contemporary art of Iran, Mohammad Ghaffari known as Kamal al-Molk, the Iranian painter (Kashan 1224- Neyshabur 1319) that is located in the vicinity of Attar tomb, the Iranian famous poet and mystic, in the Attar garden. Kamal al-Molk mausoleum is designed by Houshang Seyhun with a harmonious combination of traditional and modern architecture in which, geometry, has a basic role and deeply connected to the Iranian architectural system.

More than a thousand meters above sea level on the slopes of the Alborz mountain range in Gilan, northern Iran, a remarkable village dating back to 1006 AD bustles with life. One of the most unique and terrible site-museums around the world is Iron Age Site-Museum, an ancient cemetery in the heart of the ground, where 38 graves are put together in which many men and women, young and old individuals and several children were buried. This cemetery has remained from iron age that is about four thousand years ago. The class conflict, the grave of the rich and the poor are recognizable; the rich were buried with their possessions, women with their jewelry and children with their toys.

This is the biggest roofed bazaar of Iran. Bazaar of Tabriz is the vastest roofed bricky complex. It has 6500 stores, 25 Timchehs (small Caravanserai), 11 corridors, and some schools, mosques, and baths. You can find 40 kinds of occupations in the bazaar.

Kandovan is an astonishing village located on the mountain flank of Sultan Daghi, Sabalan Mountain, located in East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. Kandovan Village is famous for its wonderful rocky architecture which is the result of volcanic activities and hand-carved structures. The inhabitants, basically, carved every room of the cliff houses like kitchens, halls, and even pens out of stone to make windows for the rooms and later, to decorate them with colorful glasses.

This complex consists of a series of properties from prehistoric to historical periods such as Morad-Hassel Tepe, an ancient village, a Parthian graveyard and a Sassanid hunting ground. Hegmataneh Complex is located on a vast hill which was once called Hegmataneh Hill. Hegmataneh is the largest hill from ancient times in Iran. The estimations indicate that the size of the hill is about 30 hectares. However, if there were no recent structures and modern constructions in this area, the size of the hill would have still been more than 40 hectares.

Agha Bozorg Mosque (Persian: ???? ??? ???? Masjed-e Agha Bozorg) is a historical mosque in Kashan, Iran. The mosque was built in the late 18th century by master-mi'mar Ustad Haj Sa'ban-ali. The mosque and theological school (madrasah) is located in the center of the city.

Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse is a unique sample representative of Persian architecture and decoration. Located in a historical pole in Kashan, accessibility to many valuable attractions is an easy deed. Meybod Caravanserai or popular as Shah Abbasi Caravanserai Meybod, built in 1689, sits in the city of Meybod, 56 km northwest of Yazd City. Properly preserved, Meybod Caravanserai is one of the numerous caravanserais of Iran, constructed in Safavid era (1501-1726). It is neighbored by Kolar Water Reservoir (Ab Anbar) on its entrance, an Icehouse (Yakhchal) on its opposite, and a Pony Express (Chapar-Khaneh) on its side.

Amir Chakhmaq Square was constructed in Timurid era by Amir Jalal Addin Chakhmaq. He was a Timurid ruler of Yazd and completing the project was not possible without his wife’s – Seti Fatemeh Khatoon – help and advice. The square and the mosque were then called Amir Chakhmaq Square and Amir Chakhmaq Mosque by the people respectively. Different parts were added to the complex after him during various eras, however, they all were too trivial in comparison with the original version. Moreover, renovations and reconstructions were made within different periods as well.

The Fire Temple of Yazd, a focus of the Zoroastrian faith in the city, is one of the most important fire temples in the world. Within an elegant Neoclassical building, reflected in an oval pool in the forecourt, is the temple's centrepiece - the Behram Fire. The Behram Fire has burned continuously since 470 AD and is the longest burning sacred flame in Iran. It has been relocated several times - coming to Yazd in 1474 and only being moved to this building in 1940. The fire temple here is one of the nine most important in the world to Zoroastrians, and one of only 167 that still exist anywhere.

Pasargadae was founded in the 6th century BCE as the first capital of the Achaemenid Empire by Cyrus the Great, near the site of his victory over the Median king Astyages in 550 BCE. The city remained the Achaemenid capital until Darius moved it to Persepolis.

Ali Ibn Hamza Holy Shrine is one of the historical and religious structures in the city of Shiraz. This Holy Shrine belongs to “Shah Mir-Ali Ibn Hamza Ibn Mousa Kazim”, which is located in Hafez street and near the Dried Lake of Shiraz. Ali Ibn Hamza holy shrine was built by Amir Azad ol-Dole Deylami during Daylamites era and parts of it were renovated during Teymourian era.

Hafez is one of the most famous Gnostics and poets of Iran, who was born in Shiraz in 726 AH and passed away 65 years later. The tomb of Hafiz also known as Hafizieh is located north of Shiraz and comprises of two gardens. Many people still come to pay homage to this master of poetry. The mausoleum itself is located in a lovely garden, and has an atmosphere of peace and calm that is quite unique.

Shah Chéragh is a funerary monument and mosque in Shiraz, Iran, housing the tomb of the brothers Ahmad and Muhammad, sons of Musa al-Kadhim and brothers of ‘Ali ar-Ridha. The two took refuge in the city during the Abbasid persecution of Shia Muslims. The tombs became celebrated pilgrimage centres in the 14th century when Queen Tashi Khatun erected a mosque and theological school in the vicinity.

Maharlu or Maharloo Lake, a natural beauty in the Fars province of southern Iran, near Shiraz, captivates visitors with its stunning pink color, a phenomenon caused by the activity of algae and specific microorganisms in its water. Covering an area of approximately 200 square kilometers, the lake’s salt concentration is so high that it creates an ideal environment for salt production.

You may have heard the proverb “Isfahan Nesf-e Jahan” meaning “Isfahan is half of the world” which refers to the huge number of Isfahan’s natural and historic sites so that it encompasses half of the world’s beauties. Isfahan was enlarged under the command of Shah Abbas I in order to make this city the capital of trade, art, and sports in Iran. It may sound an exaggeration but the magnificent mansions and palaces, marvelous bridges, unique mosques, and amazing gardens are what awaits you in Isfahan. One of the most well-known features of Isfahan is Si-o-Se Pol which is the widest bridge over the Zayandehrud, connects also north and south of Isfahan.

The Holy Savior Cathedral or the Church of Saintly Sisters is widely known as Vank Cathedral. It is an Armenian church, located in the New Julfa district in the center of Isfahan. The name “Vank” derives from the Armenian word “monastery”. Due to its outstanding interior, Vank Cathedral is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Isfahan.

The beautiful Chehel Sotoon (also Chehel Sotoun) Palace of Isfahan is one of the most beautiful monuments in Iran. Chehel Sotoon meaning the “Forty Column Palace” is a long-standing relic of the Safavid Empire rule in Iran, which fascinates visitors with its amazing and original 17th century architecture. The splendid mural paintings of Chehel sotoun are just one of its many attractions.

Naqsh-e Jahan Square, or Meidan-e Emam (also Shah Square and Imam Square), is the main tourist spot of Isfahan, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. This square is the first place to see while visiting Isfahan and it is full of tourists all over the year. Naqsh-e Jahan in Farsi means “The image of the world”. The square is surrounded by structures of different purposes and architecture, and together with the main bazaar of Isfahan, they comprise the huge complex to explore.

Imam Mosque (known as Shah Mosque before 1979 revolution) is a part of the complex of Naqsh-e Jahan Square – the main attraction of Isfahan. It is regarded as one of the masterpieces of Persian architecture in the Islamic era. Along with Naqsh-e Jahan Square, the mosque is registered as UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a popular destination for tourists visiting Isfahan.

Alighapoo palace (Aliqapou Edifice) was also called 'Daulat Khaneh-e-Mobarakeh Nagsh-e-Jahan' and the 'Daulat Khaneh Palace'. Its unique archaic architecture is related to the Safavid era. This edifice was constructed under the orders of Shah Abbas I. The monarch would receive special envoys in this palace and hold his audience here.

Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque is one of the architectural masterpieces of Iranian architecture that was built during the Safavid Empire, standing on the eastern side of Naghsh-i Jahan Square, Esfahan, Iran. Construction of the mosque started in 1603 and was finished in 1619. It was built by the chief architect Shaykh Bahai, during the reign of Shah Abbas I of Persia. On the advice of Arthur Upham Pope, Reza Shah Pahlavi had the mosque rebuilt and repaired in the 1920s. Of the four monuments that dominated the perimeter of the Naqsh-e Jahan Square, this one was the first to be built.

Village of Abyaneh is one of the Iranian historical villages that contains some works from Sassanid period to the present time. It owns several unequal attributions just like the unique temple of "Herpak", a Chief mosque with a unique mihrab from Seljukian period, houses harmonious with climate and mountainous land. One can see Sassanid Pahlavic words in daily conversation as well as villagers' clothing that is rooted in earlier times.

The Shrine of Fatima Masumeh is located in Qom, which is considered by Shia Muslims to be the second most sacred city in Iran after Mashhad. Fatima Masumeh was the sister of the eighth Imam Reza and the daughter of the seventh Imam Musa al-Kadhim. In Shia Islam, women are often revered as saints if they are close relatives to one of the Twelve Imams. Fatima Masumeh is therefore honoured as a saint, and her shrine in Qom is considered one of the most significant Shi’i shrines in Iran. Every year, thousands of Shi’i Muslims travel to Qom to honour Fatima Masumeh and ask her for blessings.
